Cause It Was Fun

Today's a holiday. So my hubby's home and I'm likely taking advantage and spending a few minutes lying on the couch doing nothing. As a result, I wrote this post last night and since I enjoyed it so much last time, I'm doing this fill in the blank thingy-me-bobber.

Today is… Thursday, but technically Friday because I'm writing this on Thursday but posting it on Friday. I'm pullin' an Ellen (for those of you who watch Ellen - ah, who doesn't? - you know what I'm saying).

Outside my window...
it's gray and cold. So far our hottest Spring day was 16 degree (celcius for the Americans), which I must admit was beautiful. But hearing from my sis that it's going to be 27 or something ridiculous in Ontario is just annoying. It's been rainy and nasty here for the last week and it's annoying. Definitely takes a toll on your attitude after a while... makes me lazy and grouchy.

I am thinking...
that I miss real TV. I miss non-reality TV. Remember the Cosby show? Fresh Prince? Friends? Three's Company? Who's the Boss? C'mon people, I know it's entertaining as heck to watch people who are obviously more screwed up than us try to do something insanely stupid (like dance sober) but I miss the stories. Remember the lessons we learned from the Cosby Show? Claire and Cliff were the best parents. Watch the video below for one of my fav moments (who didn't love this one):

I am thankful for...
maternity leave. When I think of the last 10 months, I feel lucky. I know a lot of American Mommas do not get near the time we get up here in the "great white north"... I can't imagine going back to work after 6 weeks, 3 months, etc. I know you do what you have to and everyone is fine in the end but I have just SO loved this time with Jane.

I am wearing...
oatmeal, spaghetti sauce, beef stew, milk, cat hair, dust bunnies and a yoga pant/jacket combo. Everyday I start out clean and after several meals with Jane (where she covers herself, me and entire kitchen/dining room with food) and several hours of playing on the floor, I look like a homeless person.

I am going...
to watch another episode of Modern Family before bed. OMG (yes, I hated OMG or any of these other texting abbreviations until I started watch Gossip Girl again and now I'm sad to say that I can't stop saying it and I am 100% sure I sound like an old chick trying to be young again)... so, OMG Modern Family is the funniest show on TV right now. The Dad (Phil) is the funniest character I've seen in awhile. Your hubby may not think it's funny... or, at least, mine doesn't. I think it's similar to "Business Time" - hits too close to home and they can't handle the truth of it all (all my girlfriends think that sounds is hilarious - the guys, not so much). :p

I am reading...
Oxygen Magazine. This cracks me up. I read magazines written for women who are gym-nuts and compete in fitness competitions. I have no idea why. I read them like I'm actually going to take the tips and put it to good use pumping iron like a champion! :p ha ha ha. It's the reading equivalent to watching exercise shows while lying on the couch (we've all done it).

On my mind...
job. No different that two weeks ago. I can't stop thinking about finding a job. I wish, just for a minute, I could fast-forward to 5 years from now and see what I'm doing and how I'm doing so that I could finally take a deep breath and relax, knowing that somehow it's going to work out (that's assuming in 5 years I'm not living in my car eating hamburger helper out of a Tim Hortons cup).

Pondering these words...
"sexual addiction". Jesse James and Tiger Woods are tools... obviously this is an inclusive statement for any loser who claims to have "sexual addiction". Honestly, the PR person who "discovered" this one was a genius. Funny how no normal, non-celebs who cheat on their wives are diagnosed with sexual addiction. I mean I love chocolate and constantly confess to being a chocolate addict... but if I put on 100 lbs, I'm not about to go to rehab citing "chocolate addiction" am I? No, it's called will power people! Don't even get me started on these losers. I am obviously Team Sandra. If she takes back that loser, then she is not the person I thought she was. And, by that, I mean the person that TMZ and People Magazine have told me she is! :p ha ha ha. Ah, yes, I did take the time to search for pics of the two wiener-heads just so I could post them and write douchebag on their foreheads... I am that cool.

From the kitchen…
the lights are on. I hate it when I get all comfy on the couch in the livingroom and realize I left the lights on in the kitchen. BOOO.

Around the house...
HAH. Lights are on everywhere. I just looked "around the house" and the lights are on going up the stairs too. I used to be so good with the lights, now I'd say I'm lazy but I don't think that's it - I think I'm brainless! :p Like I've said before, mommy brain has made me more like a man than I'd ever like to admit.

One of my favorite things...
taking pictures. I've developed a passion for taking pictures since Jane came along. I just started an online photography course to learn more about my camera - hoping that I can stop having to take 500 pictures to get 20 good ones. I worry sometimes when I post so many pictures on Facebook that people are annoyed. Then, I realize, I don't care. I love my little missy so much and I'll show her off every day of the week for the rest of my life! :)

A few plans for the rest of the week...
Hmmm... tomorrow I'll have to hit up the grocery store since it's closed on Sunday for Easter. I plan on doing a little Easter thingy for Jane - just throwing eggs around the house (not chocolate obviously, just the plastic ones) and seeing if she'll play with them. If I can find a set of bunny ears (not the hooker ones - i.e. the ones girls wear on Halloween being a "sexy bunny") I'd like to do a photoshoot with Jane on the weekend. We're also going to check out Food, Inc. this weekend. Looks interesting. Severely concerned, however, that it may just be the last straw that makes me become a vegetarian... sometimes meat just grosses me out, and by sometimes I mean if I think about it at all. Although, I do like a good Steakhouse... hmmm, maybe I'll be an in-house vegetarian and only eat meat when dining out at proper restaurants (i.e. not Mcdonalds - not that I don't love McDs, you know what I'm saying).

From my picture journal...
yeah, I JUST realized that last time I posted this I did end up totally forgetting to upload a picture. Tee hee hee. I suck. Here's my latest fav - Jane doing her new favourite activity. Staring out the window, laughing and pointing at the trees...

Have a great Easter weekend - hope the bunny finds you! :)
