Please share your own moments, no matter how embarrassing!
- Last week I picked up the phone to change the channel on the TV.
- Wanted to pick up some extra 3-6 month jumpers for Jane as the weather is getting cooler. Bought 'um, brought 'um home, cleaned 'um and realized they were 6-9 months. I don't think I even checked the size on them when I bought them. Just bought the first ones on the hanger...genius.
- I left my chicken breast on the counter to thaw. All good, except we had just gotten it from the grocery store and you know what, I bet you'll be shocked - It was already thawed!!
- I'm currently nursing a mildly burnt hand here as I picked up a pan off the BBQ yesterday without an oven mitt. Awesome.
Among these were several mid-conversation "crap, there's a word I want to use right now but I can't remember what it is...." moments and also several moments where I said something one way when I meant something entirely different (e.g. Went out to breakfast with my friend Kristie and Dan paid the bill. Of course, she protested to which I responded "You'll do the same for us..." instead of "You WOULD do the same for us" ha ha ha. Sounded like I was threatening her or something). Jen :)
PS - I have potentially life-changing news here... my friend, Kristie, visited from Newfoundland this weekend and left her little one with Daddy for a night. She said that her Mommy Brain got better just within the 24 hours that she was out of the house - this is very promising!

The only Mommy Brain moment I can remember right now is this morning when I put the cereal box in the fridge instead of taking out the milk to add to the cereal, bad thing was my hubby was sitting on the couch watching me the whole time. He got a good laugh out of it:)

That's perfect! I did a similar thing when I was pregnant. I went looking for the asparagus I bought at the grocery store and couldn't find it anywhere! I was freaking out because I knew I bought it and I remembered taking it out of the grocery bag... I found it a week later in the freezer!?!?!
I have two for you: when my GF was over about 6 weeks after having her baby she looked out the window and said "whose silver pick up is that in the driveway?". It was her white yukon. About 2 months after Noah was born we were trying to figure out how to get him to like the stroller and I was trying to figure out how to get the handle on our jogging stroller to flip over so he was facing us and I asked my husband are you sure it wont do that? He looked at me like I had two heads then had to explain that there was only one wheel on the front, therefore it wouldnt flip over.
I go back to work soon, I hope my brain comes back STAT!
My fav from last week was when I had just turned the stove on to boil water for pasta, but right after I added the cold water, I added the pasta....a few minutes later Doug says looks over and says, "I'm no chef, but aren't you supposed to wait until the water is boiling?"....
update....mommy brain back as soon as flight landed!
Example... went to the gym with my pant on inside out...for real....was running on the GD treadmill when i realized it.....at that point it was to late ro do anything!
Actually worked out.... just turned them right side in when I picked up the man and didn't even feel like i needed to shower....lol!
